calories come from food you eat. They are an energy source and if you have too many calories, then your body will store it as fat. but if you don’t eat enough or you use up more calories in your daily activity’s, you will lose weight. Empty calories are calories you find in candy or other sugary foods. Lets say you ate two apples and got 100 calories and then had a soccer class and burned 200 calories you would no longer have 100 calories.

How many calories you need changes when you are older, when you are a kid 12 years or younger you need around 1500 calories. When you are an adult you need around 2000 calories but INDIVIDUALs may vary
